view from our balcony at night
My sister and I arrived at the hotel around 3AM via PT Taxi Service from Suvharnabumi Airport to Pattaya (Manila-Bangkok flight). The hotel isn’t visible from the highway so you have to make a U-turn if you’re coming from Bangkok because it’s on the other side of the road. Then turn left and skirt the highway, the hotel sign is quite small and barely noticeable. The Corner Lodge is indeed located in a street corner thus explains the name. We made our reservation through Agoda.com a month ahead that’s why we got a really good rate. This hotel is still pretty new which was also the reason why we booked it aside from they also raked good reviews in TripAdvisor.

We booked a Superior King room because it is equipped with microwave and dining wares. We were assigned quite a large room on the 7th floor with a private balcony. We instantly liked our hotel room as well because it was very neat, cozy and not cramped up. Check in was a breeze as because it seems they’ve been waiting for our arrival so we just handed the lady at the reception our passports for her to scan and we’re off to our room. I was really happy they have in-room fridge and microwave because we’re really looking to buy takeaways and just re-heat them.

Good Morning Pattaya...
Most of their hotel staff spoke little English except this one young gentleman at the front desk who's really fluent. He was the same guy who helped us out tremendously  (gave us Pattaya’s Map, showed us where each and every attractions we’re looking to visit in the map e.g South, North, Central Pattaya; he suggested popular tourists destinations we could possibly visit; proactively offered the hotel’s shuttle (baht bus) to take us to Art in Paradise and last but not least, he was the one who sent out a plumber to our room after the stopper on the sink drain got stuck. So, whatever this dude’s name was, kudos to you for an all out customer assistance. You should get a trophy for that or a raise perhaps, hotels need more efficient employees like him.

In case you’re looking to stay in Pattaya and chose to stay at The Corner Lodge then let me jot down few (hopefully) helpful stuff for you.

Others:

They charge a refundable 500 Baht for incidentals upon check in.
the hotel is walking distance from Family Mart, 711 (they pretty much have everything handy such sim cards, top up cards etc.)
Minutes away from Big C Supermarket (grocery shopping, clothes, they also have a cake shop there where we bought our birthday cake from 😂 and a huge food court)
Hawkers are endless across the hotel. there's wide array of food options to choose from.
I spotted one vending machine walking distance from the hotel.

To sum it up, we had a comfortable stay at this hotel. However, if you would like to be in a touristy area (close to temples, floating market etc.) then this hotel may not work for you. Overall, if you’re after a decent and affordable hotel then I would recommend The Corner Lodge in Pattaya definitely.
