I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.

weekend going ons

i went boxing this morning, my 18th boxing session. my sister and i decided to try a different Elorde Gym for a change and it was good because it's close to our place. moving on, i watched couple of flicks today.  the first one, a psychological horror indie film called May.

May (2002)

this is not the first time i watched May because i've seen it before in cable TV. the story is about a veterinarian's assistant named May who had an eccentric childhood. she had no friends when she was growing up except for a creepy porcelain doll her mom made for her as a birthday present. it has big blue starry eyes as if peering through your soul if you stare at it. May's a talented seamstress though since she sew her own clothes. Now an adult, May has weird fascination/fetish for 'beautiful body parts.' She got obsessed with a good looking guy named Adam, a car mechanic, who happened to have strong liking for eccentric stuff as well. May specifically got obsessed with Adam's hands in a very freaky way. Adam, being the nice guy, at first tried to be so nice with May but as they went along May showed a lot of psychotic antics which later Adam found a turn off thus he avoided May. May got involved with a lesbian colleague at work whom she thought showed real feelings and care for her and later on found also cheated on her. May in the end decided if she can't make real friends she'd rather create one herself. she butchered Adam's hand and handsewn it along with the rest of the 'beautiful parts' she chopped (how gruesome is that?) last but not least, she pulled out her own left eyeball with a pair of scissors so that her 'new friend' could see her. i liked May's character and her being eccentric however she's mentally deranged man. the movie though did not enjoy commercial success. well, that's sad because it's one of my fave movies of all time. maybe few people dig 'weird stuff.' anyways, here's the movie trailer i rummaged from youtube. see for yourself. the movie is way better than the trailer by the way.

Alice in Wonderland (2010), watching it with SRT is way better than the big screen. i finally understood the movie better. lol.

gadh. i still love static & silence (1997) by the sundays. it never cease to mesmerize every time i listen to it.
