hospital visit.

I used one of my leave passes today so i could drop by at the hospital. my siblings told me that our Dad's been looking for me since last week and i haven't visited him yet since he was admitted at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). today's independence day, a holiday so i expected the traffic won't be heavy so i left the flat late.

moving on, i hate crappy movies. those that will just waste your time watching them and  'House of Gory' is one of those. how come i did not see that coming just by the movie title? First of, the movie casts and i mean almost all the movie stars in movie was either over or under-acting. Second, the movie and it's entirety did not make any sense so i ended up pushing the forward button to skip some of the scenes before my brain shrink. Nonetheless, here's the synopsis:

Thavachai Minmukda and Chutima Avery star in this erotic tale of terror about a sadistic lord who neglects his infertile bride to lavish attention on their beautiful slaves, and the jealous wife who takes vicious revenge by torturing the wretched servants. ~

don't waste your time watching it. watching our tiny dog jack's video barking at himself in front of the mirror is far better than watching this flick.

PGH..

i hate going to manila because it's so muggy outside. a family member picked me up at the hospital's lobby before i get lost because of the endless stairs, exits, entrances etc. i thought everyone at the hospital would be wearing masks due to the H1N1 outbreak yet they didn't thank God, everything felt normal.

it's been a week since i last saw my Dad and he lost so much weight. It's his 5th major operation to date (same diagnosis) except this time a neuro-ortho specialist performed his surgery. i have faith in the doctor since my dad is finally able to sleep compared before. the first female  risked putting my dad under the knife without taking into account his age and sensitive health condition. i can't wrap my head around why some surgeons could be so neglectful considering a human life is at stake. my family figured, we can actually sue the first surgeon for malpractice since she placed my father's life in great jeopardy. she performed the operation even if she's well aware that my dad is diabetic and surgery is very risky without proper tests. after the surgery was performed by that first surgeon, my dad's ear infection aggravated so the more experienced surgeon (and i also heard) one of the country's best surgeon from PGH just cleaned up the first surgeon's mess and was even shocked that the previous female surgeon risked performing the initial surgery in the first place considering my dad's state of health.

my dad did not sue the first surgeon despite what she did whilst he could've made her pay for the damages (financial and emotional) brought about by her obvious negligence. my dad said he felt pity for the neglectful female surgeon because she is a single mother. we talked to him about it telling him that her having a daughter is out of the question, she should pay for the damages she made. to no avail our Dad did not really file any lawsuit except for a complaint snail mailed to the hospital where he was initially operated. in my opinion, no one should shrug off things like that because such mistake could've cost my Dad's life and for sure will happen again to other patients.
