Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (The Fabulous Destiny of Amelie Poulain )

audrey tautou is one of the prettiest french actress i've seen and Amelie, is one of those eccentric movies i've watched in a while. so, here goes my review about this flick. i seriously enjoyed it.

Amelie (Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Le, 2001)

As a child, Amelie lived a very sheltered life, didn't go to school, and had no friends. When she was six, her mother suddenly died, leaving her with her stone-cold father. Years later, Amelie, now at 23, left home and started working in a cafeteria in Paris. One day, she discovers a box hidden in her flat which contains treasured objects that a young boy hid away in the 1950's. Amelie decided to search for that boy to give his stuff back to him.  Amelie succeeded and made the man happy so she promised to change the world one step at a time.
Nino, a young man who Amelie fancies, collects discarded photos from photo booths, and sticks them to an album, which he later loses. Amelie found it, and devises complicated ways of returning it back to him.

It was a happy ending though because Amelie and Nino ended up romantically.
