I know it's not rocket science. But, being an ios user for a long time, turning off automatic app updates on ios is not a common thing. I just suddenly noticed the significant change with my Samsung phone's battery life one day and even wondered about it for quite sometime trying to recall what I might have done until I finally remembered that little thing I did to my phone a week ago. With my eight hour shift at work my phone's battery normally ends at 60-50%. But, since I turned off auto update it now boost up to 80%!

back to Go Launcher! |
With this, I re-downloaded Go launcher which is eventually now called Go Launcher EX which is a better version I think because it's now faster compared to before with the annoying lag time. I just noticed though that most of their themes now are no longer free compared before. The nicer themes are up for purchase either via In App Purchase (IAP which you may pay with your credit card) or download free of charge via Get Jar Golds where you have to download apps to earn gold points and use for your purchase as per my previous post.
Go launcher Ex is surprisingly faster ridding off its high memory consumption and no longer adds up to my usual battery drainage caused by me switching on auto updates in Playstore.
So far so good as I am currently enjoying my favorite launcher ever. I honestly love Go Launcher because of their 3D themes hadn't for the bugs in the past which eventually left me with no choice but uninstall it and go for Dodol Launcher instead.

L-R: my Live Locker theme, theme sample, Live Locker App |
Live Locker, another app I am curently raving about! I love their wide array of locker themes to choose from. Their themes were a little difficult to unlock at first because each and every theme is unlocked in different ways. Normally you just hover at the obvious unlock key on other locker apps like Dodol and Go Locker but with Live Locker you have to press and hold this little lock icon at the bottom of your phone's screen (whilst it's locked of course) and you'll find this little tutorial thing to unlock your phone.

the Android emojis hated by many. |
I am looking to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy Note phone in the future and will definitely be an android user for good. The only thing I am unhappy about android is their emojis. They just don't have IOS' cute emojis. I am hoping that android is able to create comparable emojis if not better ones than ios.

a.i keyboard with ios emojis |
As of the moment I am using a.i keyboard (default keyboard) which I bought from Google because Go Keyboard obviously no longer uses ios emojis with my Go Sms messaging app (only available on selected android os). Go Sms' own emojis are eactly the same as Go Keyboard's now weird looking emojis. Again, no matter how I love Go Keyboard because of their awesome keyboard themes I needed to switch back to a.i. because it is the only keyboard app so far that offers ios emojis. I am hoping Go Keyboard/Go Sms would fix this as well or I am not a happy camper because I am an emoji fan.
Well, to end this bloggie, go for what works for you and those quirky ones works for me though.
Aldiko - my new eBook reader, I deleted my old one because It does not have a built-in Dictionary which I despised. Let's face it, reading is a way to expand your vocabulary and how are you supposed to do so If your eBook reader app does not have one right? It should come handy with all eBook reader app anyways. One thing I miss about ios is iBook which is their built in eBook reader. It's just seamless compared to eBook reader Apps that Android has to offer. But then, never the less, I kind of like Aldiko because it kind of replicate iBook interface wise. Aldiko by the way supports ePub, pdf files.
