another day in the hospital...

my sister just underwent her very first major surgery--to completely remove her gall bladder as it's beyond save-able due to the already hardened gall stone residing on her gall bladder. an operation is always scary as it puts your foot on the pit. i saw how my mom's heart sank upon seeing my sister brought back from the recovery room. a mother will always feel pain for her child even if she's adult enough to fend for herself.

we decided not to go boxing today as the day is too short for everything. we left shaw early and headed off to the hospital and arrived by lunchtime. our mom was the only person around and i liked my sister's hospital suite in st. vincent (marikina). it was really cozy and that there's this retractable door that you can close so the patient could care for some rest while there are visitors outside. he fridge and the restroom is nice as well. i like being in a hospital, it's just peaceful and calm there. but the thought of bringing someone there due to an illness or operation is something that's hard to endure. the family was complete except for our brother. even our youngest niece played around the suite.it was a frenzy!

we had some tuna pie and food to go, lechon paksiw which is way expensive (buy 1 take one??? duh.) we also bought our sister this mango roll c/o of the nearets red ribbon bake shop around. i know my sister will love that as soon as she's well enough to eat. she went out of the hospital monday afternoon. mom said my sister hated staying there since it's too uncomfortable for her to pee.
