whimsical sabbath day

i kind of love my new daytime schedule.. it's not toxic 'cuz everyone else in the office are heading home as we start our shift. i like things desolate at times..just sometimes. it's nice to see the sun as it's blinding beams casts it's light on the window. it's morning. my vampire side will rest for a while. i don't have a choice anyways, i will need to endure the morning shift i guess.

but, it has a lot of good sides to it--the malls are open and you don't even have to wait. techinically, i still sleep in the evening and the day doesn't segue to the next making it even more confusing. if you work in the evening, you go home the next day as oppose to working daytime, you go home the same day. get it?

i miss the sun.

it's been really gloomy here up north the past few days. i anticipate the rain every afternoon though because that's just the way it is. morning is always the best time to hang your clothes outside to dry.

my song of the day --drops of jupiter by train...

but wait..before i end this bloggie, i had my hair dyed mahogany today for a change. nothing, i just want my hair to flaunt streaks of red once the sun cast it's light on me. i just want things to be whimsical today as it's my rest day. what's the relation? nothing.

gloomy rainy aftie

Lovin’ the morning shift. I’m remembering my work back in Makati when I was still with an Aussie account, t’was also daytime and yeah it’s really stressful to go home once the clock ticks 5:30 in the aftie—it’s a rat race down south, believe me.  Here up North, life here is really sluggish but who cares I’m done and over with the big city life. I’m getting older and all I need is to chill. J

It’s almost June and the month brings about rain. It’s so gloomy to the point that it's almost spooky every time it’s raining here in Baguio. Zero visibility makes it hard for the cars on the road to travel because of the thick fog.

The rain makes me sad for no reason. Maybe it’s because it gets really cold and I feel so stuck at home.

There’s no better thing to do but sleep since the sight of my bed seems to lull me to sleep.

Hohumm...

G’night, I guess.

when it rains it pours

i'm happy with may current job. i feel so indie that i have my own time and space.  i'm also glad with how the payroll system works. you get to have a glimpse of your payslip a day before payday over the net even when you're home. how cool right? if there's one motivation that i have that's PAYDAY!

i mean, you work to get paid and buy the things that you need and want. but, there's nothing more enjoyable than liking your job and get paid well for it.

my current work is less stressful and we have our own email accounts accessible even outside the office along with google chat that you don't need to physically talk to someone regarding concerns at work. i'm a tech buff so the whole paperless and cyber stuff absolutely works for me. J

my sister and I paid our previous work a visit one last time to get our certificate of clearance and of course the most awaited backpay. I was surprised and happy with the outcome. The lesson was---never expect and that’s what I did so the outcome was positive.  What’s even better than getting your separation pay and payday comes the day after?

So there goes the saying when it rains it pours.

But then I thank God for the blessings.  Things always happen for a reason.  I may have experienced hardships in the past.

i guess...there’s always sunshine after the rain! Woohoo! Cheesy right? :-D

well, always look at the brighter side of life. it isn't bad after all. J

cold thursday mawnin'

it's a cold thursday morning while i suit myself with my favorite pandan muffin and kopicchino. my sister and i enjoy those assorted muffins just in the nearby bakery. our flat is just so close from the hospital so expect a lot of food joints, pharmacies etc. as everything is just around the corner,  a 24hour convenience store and even a bakery.

it's so quiet in our flat especially in the morning. you will enjoy the sweet sound of birds chirping. a sight of pine trees from our bedroom window gives me this calm feeling as if the trees are greeting and reminding me it's a sunny thursday morning chop chop! my sister and i are turning one year here in the summer capital of the country and hell yeah we still enjoy the cold climate. forget about the huge wage down south and all the hustle and bustle in the city. what the heck?! i don't wanna get older and grow wrinkles in my face because of stress. i'd rather endure muscle spasms because of the cold than heat stroke.

here up north, the city is small and it's not impossible not to bump around people you know everyday. a lot of healthy food joints like rainbow cafe (they serve the infamous rainbow rice) and  if you're a vegetarian go for oh my gulay etc. my sister and i may not speak the dialect here in Baguio which is predominantly english, tagalog and ilocano.  it's just like being in SG, if you can't speak english, you should at least speak hindi, malay and mandarin. so, if i survived living overseas for couple of months speaking purely english (except when i speak with fellow pinoys), why not here in my own country? i love the 'ukayan/wagwagan.' if you need office clothing that are chick, unique and cheap just go visit the town. they have a lot surrounding prime hotel, malcolm square and the abanao area. well, actually, wagwagan blanketed the whole city and i hope it stays that way because it's the most enjoyable place to shop for bargains and great finds. they don't even need to cut down trees like SM Baguio. i don't care if i don't have cable tv as long as i have internet access hehe. geez. i miss my e-books. i've been busy lately that i haven't even finished reading this 300pages e-book by tami hoag. where have all my free time gone?

sabbath day

finally it's my rest day...woohoo! it's just odd. we start our week on a friday which is supposedly almost a weekend? right. In the U.S., a friday is considered a weekend. woh...what a looong weekend then :-)

i so love Kopiko's Kopiccino! :D

it's like I'm always looking forward to drinking my coffee while i never used to.

gadh. we went to the marketplace so early in the morning and yeah I was stressed out. why? i don't usually go to wet markets. It's not that i'm being finicky or something, it's just not my place to be. Maybe i just don't like the idea that you get to see a lot of fish for sale in the side walk. reminiscent with fish massacre. oh my. macabre in the form of fishes.

right now, i'm looking forward to drinking nescafe's new choco and creamy latte 3 in 1 coffee. hmmm..

June Rains

Had a great morning yesterday after work. Had breakfast with friends from work and hell yeah it's freakin' payday (for us) as the usual paydays fall on the 15th and 30th but for the company they twitched it to the 10th and 25th to go against the flow I guess.

Breakfast buffets are ok but for someone like me and my sister who doesn't eat that much due to dieting, a one time plateful of foodies is enough and we'll just suite ourselves with some more pancakes and coffee. I'm happy I'm still shelling some more pounds! I guess it's the GY shift and my loss of appetite in the evening.

Shopping in the afternoon despite the rain. Oh yeah, June is coming up and I coined my own term for Baguio during this time of the year..It's springtime here. Whew, my sister and I are turning one year here and still enjoying the cold climate. I hate rainy days here up north because it gets really cold and the roads are wet. You know what comes with it? Mud.

I guess my sister and I are both here to stay. Both lovin' our new job and new friends. The best place to shop around for clothes is still the 'Ukayan'!  A lot of best buys and unique finds as well. I don't miss Manila but I miss travelling out of the country though. I'm yearning to explore and see more things outside the country.

I love snuggling with my pillows and comforter because the rain brings about cold, But for now? Rain, rain go away :-(

finally

whew just finished the month long training and yeah back to the battlefield. i like my new job. less stress and more freebies from the company. i don't really mind the freebies but it's the generosity that counts. it only means that the employees are being valued by the company and they give little tokens to show that people matters in the workplace as they're the ones generating revenues to keep the business going.

everything seems so new yet so old.

aargh. our schedule has changed and yeah my body clock is so buying the GY shift now. what's new right?

i love making new friends. i guess the people in the cold city are so much nicer. maybe it's the weather. well, it's such a small world around here but i like it.

i don't need to fell off the bus just to catch an early morning ride to work :-)
